Jess is a student at Norwood Academy and a founding member of the band Aurora's Thorn, in which she plays guitar and sings. She also, along with her friend and mentor Alice, writes the songs. Jess is the daughter of two prominent scientists, though her mother died young and her father retired early due mainly to a drinking problem, which is assumed to have been intensified by the loss of his young wife. She grew up in a rough neighborhood of Tetrad City, along with her friends Meg and Alph. Although she excells in academic persuits, she really isn't interested in persuing a career in the sciences as she is often pushed to do. Her heart lies in music, particularely the Analog genre that is becoming popular among the youth of Tetrad. |
